 Miryan Hughes is a Colombian ceramicist whose work has been
exhibited in several European countries. She studied fine
art and sculpture in Cali, Colombia before coming to live
in Europe in the 1980's.
Her distinct style which draws on the Pre-colombian, Naive
and Realist traditions is invested with the warmth and
essential optimism of her personality.
She now runs the Aux Pas Des Bleus Atelier and Gites with
her husband, Anthony, and her work
is sold locally and exported all over the world.
Miryan is the powerhouse behind the renovation project
and has become an expert stonemason, tiler, plumber and
builder since arriving in Chassiers!
